On this date: Moon throws for five TDs, 409 yards

A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Oct. 26:

Warren Moon

1997: Warren Moon, at the age of 40, passes for 409 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-34 win over the Raiders at the Kingdome. Three of the TD passes go to Joey Galloway. Moon’s 409 passing yards prove to be the single-game high in the NFL for the season. Moon completes 28 of 44 passes, while Galloway catches seven balls for 117 and James McKnight four for 100.

2008: Mike Holmgren collects regular-season victory No. 172 to move into sole possession of the 10th spot on the NFL’s all-time list as the Seahawks defeat the 49ers 34-13 in San Francisco – where Holmgren grew up and also coached. Leonard Weaver catches four passes for 116 yards, including touchdowns of 62 and 43 yards, and Josh Wilson returns an interception 75 yards for a TD.

Robinson to go ‘camping’

Pro Bowl fullback Michael Robinson is among the 23 current and former NFL players who will participate in the sixth annual NFL Broadcast Boot Camp.

The program runs June 18-21 at NFL Films in Mt. Laurel, N.J.

Also participating in the program are former linebacker Chad Brown and wide receiver/kick returner Nate Burleson, who were voted to the Seahawks’ 35th Anniversary team; as well as Leonard Weaver and Shayne Graham, who also played for the team.

Of the 105 players who took part in the boot camp from 2007-11, 44 have become broadcasters as a result of participating in the program.

A look at the memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Nov. 25:

1984: Dave Krieg passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns, including an 80-yarder to Daryl Turner on the first play of the game, in a 27-24 victory over the Broncos at Mile High Stadium. Steve Largent catches 12 passes for 191 yards and a TD as the Seahawks win their seventh consecutive game.

1990: Norm Johnson kicks a 40-yard field goal 3:01 into overtime in a 13-10 victory over the Chargers in San Diego. The defense does its part, as Patrick Hunter forces a fumble that is recovered by Jacob Green with 48 seconds left in regulation; and Nesby Glasgow forces a fumble that is recovered by Rufus Porter at the Chargers’ 23-yard line 1:34 into overtime to setup Johnson’s game-winner.

2007: Leonard Weaver scores on a 5-yard run with less than six minutes to play in 24-19 victory over the Rams in St. Louis, as the Seahawks score the final 17 points in the game. Their only points in the first half come on Josh Wilson’s 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
