Alec Ogletree, the 6-2, 244-pound athletic linebacker out of the University of Georgia is the newest member of the NFC West rival St. Louis Rams.
Ogletree adds needed depth at the position for the Rams, who have just five linebackers on their active roster. He spent his freshman year at Georgia at the safety position before the coaching staff moved him to linebacker, where he produced 111 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, and three sacks in his final season with the Bulldogs.
The Rams had the 22nd overall selection in the first round, but in their second draft-day trade they dealt the pick along with a 2015 seventh rounder to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for the 30th overall pick (Ogletree) and Atlanta’s 2013 third and sxith rounders (No. 92 and No. 198).
