Seahawks’ strength of schedule ties for 10th

Earl Thomas

The NFL will release the 2013 schedule tomorrow, but as a prelude NFL.com has the annual strength of schedule today.

The Seahawks’ check in tied for 10th, as their 2013 opponents had a winning percentage of .516 in 2012 (130-122-4). The Vikings also are at .516.

Most coaches pooh-pooh strength of schedule as a relevant factor, however, pointing to the almost-annual worst-to-first performances by teams – like the Redskins last season (5-11 to 10-6); or the almost-worst- to-first efforts – like the Colts last season (2-14 to 11-5).

The Panthers have the toughest strength-of-schedule lineup (.543), including a rematch with the Seahawks in Carolina. The supposedly easiest road in 2013 belongs to the Broncos (.430).
