‘Tis the season for giving, and giving back, and what better way to do so than by joining the fight to end hunger in America.
The Taste of the NFL, an organization aimed at raising awareness and dollars for hunger relief organizations involved in tackling hunger across America, invites you to join the Kick Hunger Challenge – an online-only fundraiser.
The Kick Hunger Challenge matches fans from all 32 NFL teams against each other in a friendly competition to raise money for food banks in NFL communities around the nation. Every $1 donated will help provide approximately eight (8) meals to those battling hunger. So far, fans have supported the Seattle Seahawks to the sum of $2,330 – good for approximately 18,640 meals and sixth place out of the NFL’s 32 clubs.
The Taste of the NFL’s efforts come to fruition each year at the Super Bowl with the Party With A Purpose®. The upcoming Party With A Purpose®, held on the eve of Super Bowl XLVII (February 2, 2013) in New Orleans, La., is the event’s 22nd annual gathering and features a chef from each NFL city serving their signature dish alongside a current or alumni NFL player. Representing the Seahawks at the event will be former defensive tackle Craig Terrill, who played seven seasons in Seattle (2004-10).
So click here to join the fight against hunger and give a donation in the name of the Seahawks, where 100 percent of your funds will be distributed to food banks in the Seattle area.
