In a nutshell: Seahawks 7, Jets 7. The Jets got the ball first, but the Seahawks scored first – as Golden Tate went up over cornerback Kyle Wilson to take a Russell Wilson pass at the 2-yard line and walked into the end zone; but not before linebacker Mike Morgan stopped the Jets’ Shonn Greene for no gain on fourth-and-1 from the Seahawks’ 40. The Jets got even when Damon Harrison got to Wilson for a fumble-forcing sack and Muhammad Wilkerson returned the ball 21 yards for a TD with 2:50 left.
Player of the quarter: Wilson. The Seahawks’ rookie QB was involved in both scoring plays – the good, and the not so good.
Play of the quarter: Tate’s grab that produced the Seahawks’ TD. It was just the latest in a series of tough catches and impressive plays that have produced his team-leading six touchdowns.
Number of the quarter: 2. The number of Mark Sanchez passes batted or tipped incomplete by the Seahawks – one by Red Bryant, one by Alan Branch.
