In a nutshell: Rams 19-13. The Seahawks will be left kicking themselves over this one. Despite driving to the 10-yard line on the second play of the quarter, they had to settle for a field goal when Williams Hayes sacked Russell Wilson on third down. The Rams also added a field goal with just over six minutes to play. The Seahawks drove to the Rams’ 35-yard line in the closing seconds before Wilson’s pass was intercepted by Bradley Fletcher.
Player of the quarter: Sam Bradford. The Seahawks sacked, whacked and harassed the Rams’ QB, but he found ways to make plays when his team most needed them – especially on the 15-play, 74-yard field goal drive.
Plays of the quarter: Let’s go with a pair of sacks. The aforementioned one by Hayes, but also another by Robert Quinn on a third-down play when the Seahawks were in desperate need of a first down to keep their next-to-last possession alive.
Number of the quarter: 3. Again as in third downs. On the Rams almost seven-minute drive to Greg Zuerlein’s field goal, they converted on third-and-10 and third-and-12 as Bradford hit passes of 15 and 26 yards.
