On this date: Hasselbeck throws for five TDs

2006 – Matt Hasselbeck ties the franchise record by throwing five touchdown passes in a wild game at CenturyLink Field that sees the Seahawks storm to a 35-3 halftime lead and then hang on for a 42-30 victory over the Giants. The five TD passes are included in Hasselbeck’s 24-of-33, 227-yard passing performance, with the scoring passes going to Darrell Jackson (two), Bobby Engram, Nate Burleson and tight end Will Heller.
