In a nutshell: Seahawks 21-3, as rookie defensive lineman Jaye Howard produced an end zone sack for a safety to slap an exclamation point on the final quarter of the finale before the Raiders averted the shutout with a 31-yard field goal with 15 seconds to play.
Player of the quarter: Howard. He not only had the safety-producing sack in the end zone, he added another tackle for a loss on a third-down play with 3:08 left in the game.
Play of the quarter: The safety. Howard ran over 300-pound center Colin Miller to get it. The play was more impressive with every replay.
Number of the quarter: 4-0. The Seahawks finished the preseason unbeaten for only the second time in franchise history, and did it impressively.
