On this date: Largent’s number retired

A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Aug. 12:

1995: Steve Largent’s No. 80 is officially retired after the team’s all-time leading receiver was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

2005: The Seahawks beat the Saints in a preseason game in New Orleans, two weeks before Hurricane Katrina devastates the city and the region. Seneca Wallace passes for one touchdown and runs for another in the 34-15 victory.
