Edwards signed

The Seahawks have signed veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards, the club announced this morning.

To clear a spot of the 90-man roster, rookie kicker Carson Wiggs was released.

Edwards is expected to practice with the team today. He was a first-round draft choice by the Browns in 2005 and also has played with the Jets (2009-10) and 49ers (2011).  Edwards was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2007, when he had 1,289 receiving yards and 16 touchdown catches.
