Good afternoon. Here’s what was “out there” about the Seahawks for today, May 23, and also over the weekend: Eric Williams of the New Tribune checks in with strength and conditioning coach Chris Carlisle, whose domain has been very quiet this offseason. Says Carlisle, “I hate not being around the athletes and not being able [...]
Throwback uniforms, and a grass field?
The Seahawks are looking into playing a game in throwback uniforms during the 2012 season and also putting a grass playing surface at Qwest Field, president Peter McLoughlin said today. McLoughlin made his comments during a radio interview with Dave “Softy” Mahler on KJR-AM. The NFL’s uniform contract switches from Reebok to Nike for the [...]
Put it on the board
The banner will be raised at Qwest Field this fall, but the Seahawks aren’t waiting to commemorate their 2010 NFC West championship. Three-feats
Last week’s item about Eugene Robinson’s rare Triple Crown in 1993 – when he became the only player in franchise history to be voted team MVP, Man of the Year and the Steve Largent Award in the same season – set off a search for other historic “threes” in Seahawks history. In chronological order, here [...]
