Curry fans
The hallways of Seahawk headquarters were busy today with players heading in and out of a photo studio where NBC Sunday Night Football crews were shooting video and stills for the pregame show. I caught up with linebacker Aaron Curry on his way out of the studio and asked him about the tee shirt he [...]
Wednesday in Hawkville
A recap of the activities on Day 3 of NFC West Championship week: FOCUS ON Russell Okung. The season of pain continues for the Seahawks’ first-round draft choice. Despite tweaking an already sprained ankle in last week’s loss to the Buccaneers in Tampa, Okung was at left tackle today when the team began practicing for [...]

Finishing touch
The Seahawks have made it a tradition to play well in their home finale in recent seasons. Seattle is 7-2 in its last nine home finales and 5-1 in the final regular season home game of its playoff years since 1999.
It’s still Whitehurst, for now
Nothing has changed with the Seahawks’ quarterback situation from Monday. That was the word today from coach Pete Carroll in his just-completed midweek Q&A session with reporters. Pete Carroll couldn’t hide his excitement. “It comes down to this — is this awesome or what?” the head coach exclaimed as he bounded to the front of the room to start this morning’s team meeting. His excitement surely isn’t unfounded. The Seahawks are only about four days away from a primetime matchup to decide [...]
Got to get the ball
It’s not Turnover Thursday, but Coach Pete Carroll is making an early push for the football as his team begins preparations for Sunday’s do-or-die matchup against the Rams. The Seahawks are coming off a turnover-free performance on Sunday in Tampa, but they gave up eight combined turnovers in the two previous games. The defense has [...]
National coverage
For the first time in more than two years, the Seahawks will appear on national television when they face the Rams for the NFC West championship on Sunday, meaning all 206 markets in the U.S. will receive the matchup on NBC at 5:20 p.m. Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Andrea Kremer will have the call. [...]
Raibs ‘n Rudy
Over a Christmas dinner in Tampa on Saturday night, Steve Raible shared the story of how he played in Notre Dame’s “Rudy” game while at Georgia Tech. Well, Casey McNerthney of seattlepi.com retells the story this morning. It’s worth reading, especially for those who didn’t know – or have forgotten – that Raible was a [...]
