Air and water
The rainy weather isn’t stopping the tireless field maintenance crew from getting their work done this morning, as two field workers use heavy-duty blowers to aerate the turf. The aeration project began immediately after Thursday’s practice and will be completed prior to the team’s next practice in 10 days.
A little Q&A
The silence is almost deafening in Hawkville today. Plays of the day
Here are the highlights from the extended team period during this morning’s practice: On the first play of the day, linebacker Lofa Tatupu stepped in front of a short Matt Hasselbeck pass for a big-time interception before charging upfield for a short return. Tailback Justin Forsett scored on a short run to the right for [...]
Loving the other football
Coach Pete Carroll was among the 40,122 at the Sounders FC-Boca Juniors friendly at Qwest Field on Wednesday night. And he’s raving about it this morning. “What a great night for the fans — it was so cool to see the team score three goals and get that win,” said Carroll, who had been to [...]
Dream big
Coach Carroll reached into his bag of motivational tools and pulled out one of his all-time favorites this morning. During today’s pre-practice team meeting, Carroll showed an ESPN highlight video that splices together sports’ greatest moments to the tune of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” song. It’s a video Carroll has shown occasionally over the years to [...]
